Stretch ceilings appeared relatively recently and rapidly won the Russian market. Domestic manufacturers try to keep up with the western ones and bring the quality of the stretch ceilings to the appropriate level. The popularity of suspended ceilings is due to several reasons — ease of installation and operation, a stable effect on external factors.The design of stretch ceilings consists of a canvas and profile.
Lener of suspended ceilings. It is a PVC film of 1.5 meters wide, sewing if necessary to the desired size. Sometimes the canvas is made of fabric (polyester) — their seamless ceiling turns out to be such a fabric. The canvases are environmentally friendly materials that have fire and waterproof properties, and are also able to withstand the load up to 100 kg/sq.m.
Profile for stretch ceilings. A fastener is installed along the entire perimeter of the wall. The profile is made of PVC and varies by the methods of fastening the canvas. There are several methods of fastening.
Harpoon — the most common. The canvas is made several percent of the ceiling less than the size. A harpoon is welded along the edges of the canvas, which is inserted into the profile, pulling the canvas.
Wedge method — the canvas is made 10 cm larger than the ceiling. The film is pulled in the baguette using a wedge.
Fist method — a special baguette is used. The canvas passes through the baguette, the «fists» are spread and clamp the canvas.
Design of suspended ceilings. A variety of colors and the structure of the material provide complete freedom of choice with the ability to make any design. For decoration in a classic style, you can install a white stretch ceiling or reminiscent of a tree, marble.
Any drawing can be applied to PVC film: from the starry sky to the photo of your cat. In addition to drawings, the stretch ceiling is made by multi -level — complex in shape, with different smooth transitions.
Lamps in a stretch ceiling. There are several subtleties when installing additional light sources. This is a restriction of lamp power. Conventional lamps are used no more than 50W, halogen not more than 35W. The lamps are mounted between the main and stretch ceiling, at a distance of 2 mm from the canvas. With a different option, the lamps are mounted in the ceiling canvas.
The practicality of stretch ceilings is obvious. They will delight with their beauty, close all the pipes and wires, protect from the flood from above and last years.
