The problem is that Passat cannot boast of a remarkable appearance. R36 should be able to steam the imagination of the entire Passat sub -brand, but in addition to subtle visual changes — perhaps too elusive — R36, which fell into our hands, looked like a practical hearse and its finish of the Latte salon and aluminum linings, too much resembled the situation at a local private dentist. Sitting are good, elastic with adjustable lateral support. The stocky steering wheel is pleasant in the grip, the illuminated devices with blue arrows look wonderful. Everything seems reliable and strong, although not as chic and sports as RS Audi.
V6 version of the V6 from R32 Golf produces 300 liters. With., which turn it into the most powerful passat. With a standard six -speed DSG box up to 100 km/h, it accelerates in 5. 8 seconds (5. 6 for the sedan). Another problem is that the perception of the machine is not integral. The control of the feeling is quite reliable and clear, but does not have a complete lively dedication. A modernized suspension, lowered by 20 mm, turned out to be tough for traveling around the city, but demonstrates impressive control in crossed areas. The 4Motion all -wheel drive system is installed for quick and safe movement, and not for pleasure and enjoying drive as in RS4. What Passat is not inferior to the quick Audi of the past, so this is in the brake system. R36 received powerful brake brackets “R”, covering ventilated discs, which, however, at low speed are disappointed with excessive “diligence”.
