How to choose the «correct» paving slabs
There are two types of paving slabs, more precisely, two methods of its manufacture, on which the strength of the tile depends. This is cast tiles and pressed. Pressed tiles have more correct and identical shapes, a more smooth surface. In addition, it is more durable. But for the paving of the court of private household, cast tiles are quite suitable.
If you decide to pave your yard with paving slabs, take into account a number of factors, choosing it.
First, think about whether your car will pass in this place or park. If so, then, perhaps, it is better to buy tiles that withstands heavy loads. If you buy tiles from the manufacturer or in a solid store, then there you will find a document with such characteristics of paving slabs as compression strength — stretching (not lower than B30 or M400), frost resistance (not less than F200) and moisture absorption (not more than 5%). If you are not shown documents, then try to check the quality yourself. But at the same time, do not rely on the appearance of the tile. Make it like this: take two tiles and gently hit them on each other. If the sound is ringing, then the tile is good. If deaf — during the manufacture to the mixture, too much water was added, and it will quickly collapse with a mechanical load or under the influence of temperature differences. And you can just throw tiles on asphalt or concrete. Will break into small pieces — do not take such. And remember that a good product cannot be cheap.
