The premiere of a full-hybrid car called Toyota Auris HSD took place in 2009, at an exhibition in Frankfurt. This car was developed for sale only in the European market. Toyota Auris car is the first mass model among the Toyota lineup, which uses the HSD full -berthed drive.
Auris HSD car is the first step of Toyota to create hybrid modifications for all its models. Toyota Auris HSD has the following dimensions: the car is 4220 millimeters in length, 1760 in width, and 1515 millimeters in height. The maximum possible weight of the car is 1750 kilograms.

Among the disadvantages, it is worth noting a small, as for a gasoline car, the volume of the trunk, the insufficient possibility of viewing back, a high noise level in the process of sharp acceleration, the slow operation of the recharge during a uniform ride.
Auris HSD car can accelerate to one hundred kilometers per hour in about ten seconds. At the same time, the machine is distinguished by the best fuel consumption indicators among models of its class. Due to the full-hybrid drive, the car is able to drive in four different modes, including in modes that can be used at will-“eco-mode”, “sport”, as well as “electric car”. Switching between these modes, the driver gets the opportunity to adjust the behavior of his car to his own driving style. The car is able to reach a speed of one hundred and eighty kilometers per hour.
If we talk about the salon of this car, then here people who are familiar with the usual Auris model will immediately see a silver joystick with a blue handle, which is in the same place as the gear switch. The electronic parking key is located above it. Under the joystick itself there are buttons with which engine operating modes switch. There is no familiar ignition lock in the car-instead there is an electronic contactless type key, as well as the Start Stop button.
The configuration of the salon looks complete. There is a leather steering wheel, seats are trimmed with skin. There is a radio, a CD player that supports the MP3 format and the ability to connect USB devices. In addition, it is possible to connect to Bluetooth for cell phones and smartphones. In the standard set of configuration-alloy wheels for wheels, climate automatics, parking chamber (turns on automatically). The latter is mounted in the rear view mirror. Also in the configuration there is an automatic rain sensor and lighting sensor, which include, respectively, “wipers” and headlights. If a person has a desire, he can order this car with a number of additional functions for himself. For example, for additional funds, you can purchase built -in navigation.
Naturally, the developers of the hybrid Auris had to hide a rather voluminous battery somewhere. That is why the volume of the trunk of this car, in comparison with the ordinary model, is slightly smaller. The volume is three hundred ten liters, and in the usual Auris it is three hundred and fifty -four liters. If you fold the rear seats, the luggage volume increases to 1290 liters, which, nevertheless, is less than that of a simple Auris.
