Initially, it is necessary to prepare the ends of the sheets. It often happens that plasterboard sheets have to be cut. As a result, rectangular ends appear. They need to be made gentle to increase the area of contact of the putty with the surface of the sheet. The result should be a chamfer. It resembles a gutter. To get it with a construction knife, at an angle of 45 degrees a narrow tape from a sheet at a distance of 1 cm from its edge is cut off.
Prepared seams must be treated with a primer. It allows you to remove dust from the surface of the sheet, and also increases adhesion with putty. Putty is applied with a brush. So it penetrates the most deeply between drywall sheets.
The primed seam is filled with putty two -thirds. Then the Serpyank tape is glued to the raw putty. It must be pressed with a spatula deeper into the putty. The tape serves as a fastening element. It does not allow fragments of putty to fall out, because it is not rarely gathering it for three, four or more layers.
If the first layer of starting putty dries, and the Serpi tape will hold well for it, you can apply it on top of it, at least another layer of putty solution. Subsequent layers should completely cover the tape. The second layer finishes work on the location of the corners. Then you need to putty the entire surface and proceed to the final decoration with wallpaper or paint.
